Bateig Blue

also known as Bateig Stone, Piedra Bateig, Bateig Azul

From the Novelda quarries near Alicante, Bateig Blue is a distinctively cool grey-blue fossiliferous limestone widely used in contemporary European facade design. Its muted, cool palette and crisp sawn surface have made it a favourite for modern curtain-wall cladding, entrance lobbies and monolithic bathroom walls. Available in thin-panel formats for rainscreen systems.

Good to know

Is Bateig Blue available as a thin facade panel?

Yes — quarries in Novelda offer panels from 20 mm thick for standard cladding to 12 mm for lightweight rainscreen systems backed with a fibre-reinforced composite.

How does Bateig Blue perform in coastal environments?

Its low absorption and resistance to salt spray make it suitable for coastal facade cladding. It is widely used on Mediterranean waterfront hotels.
