Kashmir White Granite

also known as Kashmir White, Kashmere White, Indian White Granite

One of the most widely exported Indian granites and a perennial favourite in the US kitchen and bathroom countertop market. Kashmir White is a medium-grained granite with a creamy-white to light grey background punctuated by large dark grey-black hornblende crystals and minor golden mica speckling. Despite the name, it is quarried primarily in Himachal Pradesh. Its combination of light base tone, bold speckle pattern and excellent durability makes it one of the most specified multi-tone white granites globally.

Good to know

Is Kashmir White a good kitchen countertop stone?

Yes. Being a true granite, it is acid-resistant (unlike marble), harder than quartzite and virtually impervious to normal kitchen use. Polished finish is the standard; leathered adds texture and hides fingerprints.
