also known as Moroccan Cream Limestone, Sahara Limestone Morocco, Atlas Beige
From the foothills of Morocco's Atlas Mountains, Sahara Gold is a warm, sand-toned limestone with subtle natural variation that evokes North African landscapes. Its soft, golden palette complements both contemporary resort architecture and traditional riad aesthetics. Widely exported via Casablanca and increasingly available in North American trade channels, distinct from the fossiliferous Atlas Fossil also available from Morocco.

Atlas Fossil is a dark-beige fossiliferous stone with prominent orthoceras and ammonite fossils, valued for decorative impact. Sahara Gold is a cleaner, more uniform limestone without macro-fossils, suited for smooth contemporary finishes.
Dense Moroccan limestones with low absorption are used for pool copings and terraces in warm climates. For freeze-thaw environments, specify quarry-tested frost-resistant grades.
