France · Marble
also known as Black Saint-Laurent, Saint-Laurent Noir, Bidache Marble
A celebrated French black marble from the Basque country foothills, quarried near Bidache. Its jet-black ground is crossed by bold white veining patterns — making it one of the most recognized European black marbles. Historically used in French royal and aristocratic interiors, it remains a premium choice for statement floors, fireplace surrounds, and architectural accents.

Both are black marbles with white veining, but Saint-Laurent originates in the French Pyrénées (Bidache) and tends to have broader, more dramatic white veins. Nero Marquina comes from Markina-Xemein in Spain and typically shows finer, more thread-like veining.
