also known as Piasentina Stone
A dense, hard grey limestone from Friuli, valued precisely where softer 'grey look' stones fail: exterior paving, stairs and ventilated facades in demanding climates.
Type-level physical facts shown. Per-lot lab values (absorption, flexural strength) confirmed at quotation.
Pietra Piasentina is worked in the hills of eastern Friuli, near the Slovenian border. It is specified precisely where a calm grey stone has to survive weather, salt and abrasion: a dense, hard stone that has become a regional standard for exterior paving, stairs and ventilated facades in demanding Alpine climates.
Geology. Dense calcareous stone (a hard limestone/breccia) with grey to grey-brown ground and fine calcite veining; low water absorption is what makes it stand up outdoors where softer greys fail.

It is dense with low water absorption, so it resists weathering, salts and abrasion far better than porous decorative greys; a sound exterior-grade choice.
A tough Friulian limestone widely specified for interior and exterior floors, stairs and cladding, valued for its durability and calm grey-beige tone.
