Bulgaria · Marble
also known as Bulgarian White Marble, Marmor Rhodopen, Rhodopes Marble, Byal Mramor
A white to pale cream metamorphic marble quarried from the Rhodope Mountains in southern Bulgaria — one of the Balkans' primary marble-producing regions. The Rhodope belt contains extensive marble deposits exploited since antiquity: the ancient Thracian city of Philippopolis (modern Plovdiv) used local Rhodope marble for its public buildings. Today multiple quarries supply white marble slabs to European and international markets. Consistent pale white body with minimal inclusions; a reliable workhorse white marble from a lesser-known but high-quality European source.

Bulgaria is an established EU marble producer with quarries certified to European standards. Rhodope marble is exported to Germany, the UK, the Middle East and beyond. It is a genuine value option in the white marble category, offering European provenance at a competitive price point versus Italian or Greek equivalents.
