Croatia · Marble
also known as Bijeli Mramor Vrgorac, Dalmatian White Marble, Vrgorac Bijeli
A white to off-white metamorphic marble from the Vrgorac area in the Dalmatian hinterland, southern Croatia. Less internationally known than Brač limestone or Pietra d'Istria, Vrgorac white is a local prestige material used in public buildings and residential construction throughout Dalmatia. Fine-grained with good polishing qualities; suitable for interior floors, wall cladding and bathroom applications.
Type-level physical facts shown. Per-lot lab values (absorption, flexural strength) confirmed at quotation.
Export volumes are smaller than those of Brač or Kanfanar. The stone is primarily used in regional Dalmatian construction and specifier projects that seek authentic Croatian provenance. Export availability should be confirmed with Dalmatian quarry contacts.
