Origin & quarry

Arabescato Corchia is quarried on Monte Corchia in the Apuan Alps. Its signature is a bold, interlaced grey veining over a white ground — a statement marble that rewards book-matching.

Geology. Metamorphic marble, calcite-dominant; the dramatic interlaced grey veining (the 'arabesque') traces deformed fracture networks.

Good to know

What makes Arabescato different from Calacatta?

Both are white Apuan marbles with bold veining, but Arabescato is defined by its distinctive arabesque or frame-like vein pattern, often with a slightly warmer white ground. Calacatta is the broader category; Arabescato is a specific sub-type prized for its graphic movement.

What applications is Arabescato best suited for?

Feature walls, bathroom vanities, and book-matched panels where the veining pattern creates a visual centrepiece. Its bold movement makes it a statement material rather than a background stone.
